Bracket Play

payout for tournament will depend on how many teams we have

Start of Game - There will be 5 games per match

• Home team (first listed on sheet) chooses what side of board they want to start on and will be first to throw. During game play the team that scored that round would go first. Once game has ended, walk across to change sides then the loser of previous game will go first.

Bag Points and Scoring Rules

• Bag on the Board: Any bag which comes to rest anywhere on top of the board is worth one (1) point.
• Bag in the Hole: Any bag which is thrown through the hole or knocked through the hole by another bag is worth three (3) points.
• Dead Bag: Any bag which lands on the ground or bounces off the ground and lands on board is zero points (bags that bounce and land on board must be removed from play right away)
• If a bag lands on the edge of board and is touching the ground - you must lift the board up and if bag stays on, it is worth one (1) point, if it falls, then it becomes a dead bag and is worth zero (0) points and should be removed from play.
• If you have a dead bag on the ground in front of board and you throw a bag that bounces off that dead bag without touching ground and it lands on the board... that's a good bag.
• If player "A" throws bag and goes over 21 and player "B" throws without knowing and player "A" points are canceled, then player "A" still can throw their remaining bag/s.
• If Player "A" throws last bag and scores 21 and player "B" still has a bag left, then player "B" will throw last bag to try to cancel out player "A" points.
• If player "A" goes over 21 but still has bag/s left in hand, they will have the chance to knock an in-play bag off board to save themselves. (They continue until no bags left to throw) If unsuccessful then team "A" goes back to 11 points.

Forfeit Rules:

• Start Time: 7pm
• call your opponent's team captain by 5:30 if you need to reschedule. (Captain's numbers can be found here Captain's List | Summer Bag League)
• 7:30 claim forfeit if opponent is a no show. (team who showed up will still pay $10 that night) team that doesn't show will not get paid for their loss on a forfeit.
• make up games must be completed by last day of league play (unless other arrangements have been made and Ashlie or Becky knows about it - any sheets not turned in by last day of league will become a forfeit and both teams will get zero scored points.

Tournament Forfeit

• If a team can NOT finish out the tournament for whatever reason. All games that have been played with that team and future games with that team will become null and void.
